Your post is fine :)

The first thing to consider is challenging the Decision;

You can either request a Reconsideration where another DWP Decision Maker will review the evidence presented to see whether they can alter the Decision, if they don't then you can appeal, or

you can request an Appeal, the DWP will still carry out a Reonsdideration (as above) but will send your papers directly to the Tribunal Service if the Decision is unchanged.

Our recommendation is that you appeal from the outset, you lose nothing by doing so and at the very least will save yourself several weeks in time, if the Decision is unchanged by the DWP.

The next thing is to request a written Statement of Reasons and all of the documents used to make the Decision from the DWP, you can do this over the phone but we recommend you confirm any conversation in writing.

Our DLA Appeal guide is on the following link

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/dla/#dlaappeals

You should also have a look at our DLA Claim guides to see if you can explain your son's care and mobility needs in more detail or more effectively than you already have, see

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/dla/#dlaclaims

We have a number Appeal FAQs that may be of assistance

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/appeals-faq

in particular you should review

How long do I have to appeal?

How to submit an appeal

If you have any specific questions, please reply to this post.
