Thanks I will keep you up to date. Just asked for appeal, no date yet but I will come back to this topic.

I was absolutely shocked when told by DWP I had to go to appeal to complain - what a total was waste of money. I wish I knew how the fraudesters we read/hear about in the media manage it and yet the hoops us genuine claimants have to go through and get rejected never ceases to amaze me.

Hi d,

In case you have not already done so, it may help if you take a look at the DLA Appeals Guide, here :

DLA Guides

You may also find the following helpful :

DLA FAQ’s

Appeals FAQ’s

DM Guide AA & DLA :

DR UK DLA & AA :

Although it may help to bring the erroneous information to the attention of The DWP DLA DM, you can also make a complaint to ATOS, as a separate issue :

Complaining to ATOS Healthcare

You could also involve your M.P. :

Hi bro58

Thank you so much for all the information, I appreciate you doing that. I will go through it bit by bit. I have used this site a lot recently for plucking out bits of information so it is great to have everything in the one place to refer to. :)

No problem d, :)

If you hit the "Favourite" button at the top or bottom of the topic, you will see that a Gold Star appears on the topic. If you then go into "My Topics" when you wish to review it, this topic should be listed.
