payment date altered?

Hello , after approx 7 years on ib i have just been transferred to esa, wrag , 5th march onwards, which i have appealed as i think i should be support group ,payment of i.b has always been made on fridays , but not today.

Am i correct in assuming that it will now be paid according to the n.i number "formula" which in my case would be mondays? or could it be another dwp c**k up

You should also bear in mind that there are sometimes delays with the first payment of ESA, when being transferred over.

If the money does not go into the bank when you think it should, give the DWP a ring.

In my case, my IB was paid on a Friday weekly. When I changed over to ESA the first payment came in every 2 weeks, so was sat waiting for money that didn't come. When I complained that noone had told me that I had to wait and hadn't budgeted for this, the office said that as I had been paid weekly, it should have continued and was a mistake. I received the payment the following Wednesday (and then another payment for the week on the next Friday and so on). May be something similar.

Apparently, problems sometimes occur when The DWP instigate a payment cycle for ESA, as the programme piggy-backs on the JSA payment systems.
