I also wanted to ask about hearing aid. I was one point short of award. I had two points for having a hearing aid in 2015 they have removed the two points for having said hearing aid. They now say you need two hearing aids. I only had one hearing aid then. I have tinnitus also and cannot follow a conversation.

It is worth your checking with the TS again, maybe leave it a week, they really should be able to tell you waiting times for the venue.

Most appeals are held without a Representative, it won't count against you.

It's your appeal, if your wife attends they won't be assessing her.

Try and break the work into manageable amounts, half an hour or even 5 minutes a day. Start by writing out a list of the things that you need to do. work your way through the list, making brief notes and then go back through it, writing long sentences, then paragraphs until you are happy with what you have included.

There's no legal requirement for you to have two hearing aids to score points, but it is your total hearing that is being assessed with the hearing aid being used so you need to explain what problems you have in these circumstances.

Remember the assessor will have considered how you managed at the assessment and using this as a benchmark to what you are capable of.

Hello again Gordon

Just been reading the appal guide and how to write a written submission as it is written with a representative in mind do I write I where it says `my client' and do I need to go through all the descriptors again. I put all detailed responses to how I meet descriptors on my claim form and MR form. If I write them out again it would take several pages. I am trying to challenge where they removed points from old award despite having evidence these things are still the same. Do I stick to these points or go through it all again. If I do it would be a long submission. Reading the guides I feel more scared than ever it seems to be written for an experienced representative it feels too much for people who are not legal experts

Yes, this is your appeal so you should write "I".

If you are happy that you have provided adequate testimony and evidence in your original form and MR request then you don't need to go through it all again, however, this is an opportunity for you to consolidate all of the information in one place and make it easy for the Tribunal panel to understand your limitations, so perhaps provide a summary for each activity and references to more detailed content in the bundle.

What I am struggling with is the guide on this site. It is written for an advisor representing a client. Is this beause they do not expect you to have to do it youself on your own? The language in the template letter is We assert our client we resepcfully ask etc (Im paraphrasing but its the gist of it) I am confused if I ahve to write that sort of language and if I did would the tribunal not think I was trying to pass myself off as knowledgable on the law and lose points for that its at tthis whereas I am falling to bits. I have read the guides and dont follow. I ahve supprot worker to hel;p me engage in the community and yet they have taken pints off me for that I dont know how to argue it its a fact I ahve i and I ahve documenratoy evidemnce. I dont know how to argue the points.
