Im totally lost! Spoke to you about this before but still confused! IB transfer to ESA, got medical, said i was fit for work in 3 mths time. DWP phoned and asked me to send letter to them saying what i disagreed with and also to send support letters from CAB, psychologist and doctor which i have done but that was two weeks ago and ive heard nothing!Would this be classed as a reconsideration or what? My money is exactly the same but i dont know what will happen next. I get high rate mobility and middle care and my doctor and psychologist say im not fit for work. What happens next?

AS you did not complete a GL24 Appeal form this will be a Reconsideration.Im totally lost! Spoke to you about this before but still confused! Reconsiderations regularly take 11-13 weeks before a Decision is made, you can always ring the DWP and ask what is happening.

We are further confused as you say that your money will stay the same, this would not happen if you had only been awarded 6 points, and then classed as fit for work.
Your options would be either to "sign on" and claim JSA, or appeal the decision within a month using a GL24 form, you would then be entitled to the The Assessment Rate of ESA, ( about £67.50) until the decision was either changed at reconsideration, which is done automatically on appealing, or if no change at that stage , right up until the date of The Appeal Tribunal Hearing, this can take upto 12 months.
So you can see our confusion here in "your money staying the same" as normally if you only ask for a Reconsideration, without actually lodging an appeal you would not be entitled to ESA Assessment Rate, as mentioned above.
Further you do not really obtain "letters of support" off the CAB, these letters are generally obtained from a Health Care Professional who knows and cares for you, or a family member or carer, who knows of your limitations.
As for your DLA awards, if this is definately your IB to ESA Migration process medical, the DLA, has no bearing on the ESA decision.
You need to contact CAB, and find out the following.
What was the outcome of your ESA medical assessment?
Were you found fit for work?,
Were you put in WRAG,
Were you put in The Support Group.
Once you are aware of the position there.
You then need to clarify have CAB asked for a Reconsideration, or have they lodged an Appeal ?.
Then you need to know what decision they disagree with, and on what grounds?.
You also need to obtain something in WRITING off the DWP, as to what amount of money they are paying you, and what this money is for (Which benefit is it)?.
As you can understand with only the confused information that you provide on the Forum, we can only "Guess" at what your actual situation is, and that will not help you.
Once you have gained answers to the questions above,you can always come back to the Forum, if you are still unsure.
