I think the issue is, if an assessment is still required, then it is because they want to see the claimant to verify the extent of their problems, replacing the claimant with their carer would not satisfy this!

I rang up the Dwp helpline to query how far along my partner's DLA to Pip transfer was. They said the Assessor has decided not to ask him in for a face to face and was sending a report to the Dwp Case manager. Is this good or bad? I am obviously relieved he does not have to undergo a face to face as it would have made him very ill but am anxious in case they see this as an opportunity to give him a lesser award?
Just to add his consultants had all requested no face to face so in that regard its good news.
Thanks

Hi wg, the assessor obviously feels that they have enough information to make a recommendation without a face2face appointment. I am afraid that there is no way to predict what the decision might be. Here's hoping you do not have to wait much longer for a decision.
I see that you have started multiple topics about your partner's PIP claim, I will try to merge them into one. It helps us enormously if everything relating to one subject is kept in the same place, so please reply to this message if you have further queries or comments relating to this claim. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now. Thank you in advance for your co-operation in this matter

Hi, sorry about that, will keep my questions to this thread
Now my partner doesn't have to have a face to face will there still be a PA4 form filled out for me to request or is that just for the people who have face to face assessments?
Thanks

An assessment report is always produced even if there is no face to face.
