PIP award date

Hi guys
My son has been awarded PIP for 5 years before review but today had a letter stating the amount up until his birthday this year. Is this the norm and will it just renew every birthday for 5 years then a new form needs filling in. I understand they send the review forms a year prior but confused as to why only until August 2020. Thanks so much.

We have not seen a letter like this before, normally the annual Entitlement Letters specify payments from one April to the next or from April to the end of the award if this occurs before the next April.

I would contact the DWP for an explanation.
