Video assessment regarding LCWRA was created by EC
I am a carer for my son who has a severe mental illness and has a diagnosis of bipolar type 1 .
I completed a medical assessment on his behalf as I am his official appointee. I have just received a letter from DWP informing me that I will need to have a video assessment on 28/10/21 . I am really anxious about this and not sure how to manage it. I thought I might get a telephone assessment instead. Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

I am not surprised that you are anxious. You should contact them and ask them what this means. How do they know if you have the required technology? I'm afraid I can't tell you anything further because I don't know of anyone who has had one.
If you have the time - please report back anything you learn.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

I feel for you EC, just inform them you don't no how to use a computer and can't face it, I won't ever do a video call, or phone calls that's why I would never give them a phone number.
