Mandatory reconsideration was created by Lorraine
Can you tell me if it’s a possibility that I may have to go for a F2F as a result of a mandatory reconsideration? I didn’t have to go for one for my review decision which was favourable except for one question.
Thanks in advance

Hi Lorraine

I have never known anyone having a face to face for a mandatory reconsideration.

Most assessments are done over the phone at present, although face to face has been re-introduced for some claimants, I have not come across any on this forum yet.

Hi Gary thank you for that. I just wasn’t sure. It’s only been 7 weeks so I’m not looking for the results anytime soon.

Hi. I asked a similar question to this a couple of months ago and Catherine answered that she had known this to happen once or that a decision maker could phone for more information. I hope that helps and good luck. All good wishes

Thank you. I’m so anxious, I wish I hadn’t bothered asking for it to be looked at again. It’s so wrong that it makes me feel like this .

Hello Lorraine,

Please remember that it is also wrong that assessments are wrong. You have asked for a mistake to be corrected, and the law provides for that. You were strong in preparing and submitting your MR, now stay strong in knowing that you have done the right thing.
