Diagnosis after pip assessment was created by Johnniepk
I claimed pip in June and had telephone assessment in October. Although my condtion was affecting my daily living i had no diagnosis after 9 months of drs, physios, blood tests etc. I had a lot of suspected this and thats.
Yesterdat, almost a year to the day, i have had a diagnosis of the medical issue that affects me and proposed treatment.
My question is...do i update dwp on this good news.? The daily living issues still exist but at least i know the cause.
Will teling them the diagnosis support my claim?
Thanks

Hi Johnniepk
Have you had a decision yet? if the answer is no, then I would sent a copy of your diagnosis to the decision maker, make sure you add your name and NINO on the letter and send it by recorded delivery.
All supporting documents help with your claim, as you had the assessment in October, have you contacted DWP and asked for a copy of the assessors report.

I will post a " diagnosis" letter tomorrow. Thank you
I have not asked for a copy of the report but not for the want of trying!
Everytime i ring i wait and wait and wait and hang up! Its frustrating and stressful.

Hi Johnniepk
It can be very frustrating waiting for the phone to be answered, the best time to try and contact is first thing in the morning.
What I do is dial the number then put my phone on speaker phone and do another chore whilst waiting for my call to be answered.

If I have to call I find a wordsearch to do while waiting, easy to stop the moment they answer.
