I have received a text message supposedly from DWP from an 0800 number asking me to call 'straightaway' about my ESA. have been receiving ESA for many years and have never had a text from them. Has anyone else received a text like this? It seems odd....
We have heard from members on the forum about receiving text message from DWP to contact them.
You can either do nothing and wait for a letter or another call or contact ESA to see if they did send you a text message. A word of warning, there are scam messages going around so don't dial the number sent to you but contact ESA enquiry line: 0800 169 0310 and ask, best time to try and contact is first thing in the morning.
