Hi AngelT,
I appreciate how frustrating this all must be. Definitely get a report from the lung clinic and send that in. Either now or wait for what seems to be an inevitable MR. However you might get lucky, particularly if you contact DWP now and explain the inaccuracies in the report.
Otherwise, you could get ahead of the game and start prepping for MR now. Write down the major points of issue with the report, maybe combining them as bullet points. Then go through each descriptor- what points/ why/ why is the Assessor wrong. You could include an opening paragraph or two about your health by way of background.
I hope this helps, and I am really sorry that you have to deal with all this unnecessary hassle.

I'm in shock!!!!!

Just had a call from DWP to say they have awarded me PIP and that I should get a letter in the next few days.

She wanted to ask if it was ok to transfer the whole back dated amount into the bank as it was a large amount and wanted to know if it would create budgeting issues, I told her I dont have anything to do with the budget because of being forgetful in the past and going into arrears so my husband sorts it all out, so she said ok we'll transfer it all in the next few days.

I honestly believed with the lies the assessor put in the review and then also missing parts out that I would have to fight for a MR.
I feel that after the battle with the assessment alone that I shouldnt "poke the bear" if DWP have seen fit to award me PIP.

Hi AngelIT

Many, many congratulations. That is so good to hear, especially after your experience before and during the assessment. Well done. You can rest easy now.
