PIP Review was created by najtned
Hi can someone please advise me? I completed my review PIP in May to be returned by July13th, Since then Ive heard nothing, Ive called to be told its in a queue with a case manager done worry your paid until March 22.
I aclled last week and was told by a really nice handler that this is ridiculous, he spoke to case manager dealing with review who told him I just had to wait & my money could stop. As the handler said I.d done everything asked for in paper work etc. He said they were waiting for yet another extension period that may included me! Call back first week of February.
My condition has severely got worse Mentally & losing my sight, Im at my wits end & is there any point in continuing suffering?

Thank you for all you do

Hi najtned

I am really sorry you are having to wait such a long time. Unfortunately, you are not alone, but try not to give up. One thing you may want to do, is to contact your local MP and ask them to take up your case. Some MPs are very good about getting involved and the DWP often works a little faster when they do. It may to too much for you to do at the moment but worth a thought.

Dear najtned, please if you feel bad reach out be it to samaritans on freephone 116123, 24/7, or someone else as well as this forum, don't let the government starving DWP of funds to respond in a decently short time get you down any more.
Hopefully also you can get support from Royal National Institute for the Blind helpline
0303 123 9999, 8am-8pm on weekdays and 9am-1pm on Saturdays. Choose option 3 from the menu. I used to share a house with a blind girl and attend adult ed craft classes with two blind ladies and they all found 'the 'Nib' ' as they called it, a big help.
Thinking of you,
Denby
