New claim for Universal Credit was created by Charlotte
Hello all,
I currently receive contribution-based ESA (Support Group) and have done since 2003 (Incapacity Benefit initially) because I am autistic. My husband and I have recently separated and in the process of divorcing and I am living with our two teenage boys. I am not receiving spousal maintenance and therefore I now need to apply for extra support in the form of Universal Credit.
I have completed most of the application form online but I am at a loss as to how to answer the section on health; I am asked whether I have a fit for work note and there is no opportunity to explain that I have already been through the WCA and I am in the Support Group.
Can anyone advise how I apply?

Your question is outside the remit of the forum.
We would advised you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation before you complete your application for UC as once you apply for UC you cannot go back. You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
You may be better off on legacy benefits depending on your circumstances.
In answer to your question you would put a note on your journal and inform your work coach.
