I am in the ESA support group, contribution based benefit, at it stands this is not means tested, I haven't been informed that I am moving to universal credit, but i believe everyone is over the next few years, will this benefit now be means tested? many thanks in advance
CB ESA is the same as NS ESA, as you are in the support group then your award is indefinite until you are next reassessed then depending on the out come you will either stay on CB ESA or you will be placed in the work group or found fit for work.
In answer to your question, as long as you stay in the support group then your benefit will not be means tested.
