Hi, had my PIP review form recently and I have a few questions if anyone could help please.
I was expecting it to be like my last review form as in ticking boxes for easier/no change/harder but its not. Is this the new form they use now?
Last time i was awarded the 20-50 metres but as my illness has progressed (COPD/Emphysema) I was going to put the up to 20 metres descriptor due to increased breathlessness and pain. I can walk further than this if i really push myself but not without pain/breathlessness and paying for it for the next 2-3 days( chronic fatigue/pain)
I'm not sure whether to just leave it as it is.
During 2020/21 I had numerous letters off the Government because I'm in the "Clinically extremely vulnerable group" Should I include these in evidence? or aren't they relevant.
Thanks in advance

Hi fluke1974

If your condition has deteriorated then say so, explain how it has deteriorated and add supporting documents.

Yes the new review form is slightly different than the old one, do not just tick a box add an explanation on how your condition affects you for each question. I have seen so many forms with just a tick in boxes and no explanation and then the claimant wonders why they have failed at the first hurdle.

Make sure you check our guides before sending off your review form; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip#claims

Is it worth sending in the letters from Government?
I have some supporting evidence but because of Covid i have been unable to get tests done

Hi fluke1974

If sending in the letters from the Government helps you with your claim, then send them in.

Make sure you send photo copies of any supporting documents as you will not get the original back

Just had mine come through. I’m trying to start the actual questions but they seem just as complicated as the first initial form. My condition on the who,e hasn’t changed but reading through just saying no change seems to count against you depending on what assessor you have. Also you say supporting evidence, are hospital appointments counted as that or not? Thanking you in advance

Hi Kayla

Have a look at the advice on filling out the review form.

Hospital appointments do not count as supporting evidence.
