PIP Review form and covid was created by Woolybrained
Hi
Should I included extra difficulties due to Covid?
I wasn’t in the Shielding group but was classed as Clinically Vulnerable and received a text from NHS saying “As you are at increased risk of complication from COVID-19 you are able to book your COVID-19 booster vaccine”. Is this worth mentioning?
Since first lockdown March 2020, I’ve only been out 7 times to things which involves mixing with strangers and that was for blood tests and vaccinations. Should I mention this and how anxious I was each time and how reluctant I still am to even think about going out?
My conditions already cause chronic fatigue. I've been fully vaccinated so I don't think I would end up in hospital if I caught covid, but I do think it's highly likely I'd get long covid and the thought of being even more fatigued than I am now is just so frightening.
If this is relevant , would this be best in question 10 - planning and following a route to another place or question 13 - anything else we should know?
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Woolybrained
If your anxiety has grown worse since you last filled out a review form then you should say so, especially if you have been clinically diagnosed with a mental health difficulty. You can certainly tell them you were classed as clinically vulnerable. If you mention the number of times you left the house - you can expect an assessor to say that you managed to overcome your fears and they may assume your difficulties are not as bad as they are. They will not take any notice if you say that if you were to get COVID you would probably suffer from Long Covid because of your current conditions. It's not relevant to your current status.
