Good afternoon could you please advise me, I have two questions, 1) I am receiving Contributions base old style ESA how long can you be on Contribution based ? and 2) are you allowed to take employment and if so are there restrictions. thank you ❤️

Q 1) You can continue to receive Contribution Based ESA indefinitely while you are in the Support Group.
Q 2) It would depend on what you call employment, you are allowed permitted work/therapeutic earnings ; www.disabilityrightsuk.org/work-people-l...or-health-conditions, www.gov.uk/government/publications/emplo...itted-work-factsheet
If you work more than 16 hrs a week or earn up to £143 every week after tax then your claim for ESA would cease.
You need to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation before you do anything, they can take all your circumstances into consideration.

Just to clarify. The Permitted Work rule is less than 16 hours a week, whilst it would be unusual for the DWP to take issue with someone working the full 16 hours, I have seen it happen with the ESA claim being closed.
