I have been on PIP, ESA, UC for a number of years now, last I renewed my PIP ( also the previous times ) I have got Citizens Advice ( who have been fantastic ) to fill the form out. This is due to severe anxiety and depression, so mental health.
I suffer badly from IBS when I get anxious and therefore need to get to a toilet asap. I drive and embarrassingly I have had a couple of accidents in the car, using puppy pads.
So for this reason I really can’t/won’t dare go on a bus.
I thought it to be very important especially for mobility but each time I mentioned it, it was dismissed as trivial, if only they knew. I didn’t challenge because I presume they would know but I have to ask someone if I should have insisted ? I think too late to appeal if I was able to.
I'm sorry that you have difficulties with your IBS and it's annoying when someone does recognise these. As you have severe anxiety and depression, I assume that you scored for these for mobility. You could give information about your bowel problems and the impact this has on your ability to go out. You would have to show that this was for the majority of the time. You may or may not score additional points, it would depend on the impact against the given criteria.
