Hi could anyone help, the doctor has given me a indefinite sick note for work, but the job centre has said they don’t expect these,and I’m to still look for work.I’m very confused as my neurologist has told me that my MS Is now at the progressive stage.seems like the indefinite note I have is void. Can anyone help please.

We have heard from fellow members on the forum where DWP have refused to accept indefinite 'fit notes'. You need to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation who will able to help you, unfortunately we do not have enough information; You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk , you may also want to involve your MP.
Do you know at what stage you are at with your claim? Have you applied for NS ESA? Have you completed a WCA form? Have you had an assessment?

If this is the first time that you have presented a Fit Note then the DWP will not accept one longer than three months during the six months following that first Note.
