I received my pip and esa nearly 4 years ago. Pip extended until aug 2023 due to covid. My condition has worsened and after reading all through this site I think it’s saying that if I wait until I have a review they will tell me to start a new claim for worsening conditions. Have I got that right? Please.
You have got it the wrong way round, if you contact DWP to report a change of Circumstances then you will be sent a new claims form.
if you are sent a review form and your condition has deteriorated you need to explain how your condition has changed. I would advise you to read our latest guides for both PIP and ESA. Always treat a review form as if it was a new claims form and send in supporting documents even if you sent them in previously if they are still relevant.
You will not be penalised for not reporting a change if your condition has got worse, you may be penalised if you fail to report that your condition has improved.
We have heard on the forum where members award has been extended only to receive a review form a few weeks/months later.
