PIP Review concerning Descriptor 9 Advice needed

Hi Im currently awaiting my review form to be looked at after sending it back last July 2021
As my award is due to end in the next few weeks I was asked to ring and chase at the end of this month.
I have done this today and been informed it has not been passed to assessment providers yet and is in the backlog pile - they are due to be going in and extending claims by a further 3 months - it does not appear we will be written to.\

Whilst on the telephone I enquired whether I was to be reviewed for the Daily living descriptor 9 - after Court ruled about having someone with you for support. I received 2 points for this but actually feel I fit into receiving 4 or 8 points for this section.

The gentlemen at DWP informed me that my file was reviewed in Feb 2021 - I did say I thought that this was only agreed at the end of last year when they would start to look into claims?
He said he wasnt sure but I was reviewed in Feb 2021 - I receive the higher rate mobility and therefore it did not affect me and I should have received a letter to say I had been reviewed and there was no change

Im asking for advice on what to do about this as
a) i think 2021 February was too early to be looked into for this issue as I only started seeing press coverage or coverage from yourselves late into 2021
b) Should I have been informed ?
c) I thought it was for the daily living part of PIP NOT mobility as the advisor stated

So have PIP looked at it incorrectly? should I have been told ? Am i right in thinking its for daily living not mobility?
What should I do about this?
Will it affect my current review process or ongoing award be stopped if I challenge this?

Im in receipt of High rate mobility mainly due to my mental health status although I do have physical issues which have declined and more recently been diagnosed with a Neurological disorder that has affects on my mobility as well as other physical issues. I do not leave the house unless I am with my husband and only trust my husband - I leave the house with him under the influence of tablets - Im in distress if people come to house and husband not here - Im not good with dealing with situations without support having to deal with phonecalls / meetings / appts - even seeing a friend
I only see one friend in the home and even then I can get very anxious / appear to be angry or distressed - she was actually a Mental Health Nurse so is very good with me but I will often put her off coming
I cannot cope with more than one or two people coming to the home - ie if my family visit sister husband 2 children this is too much for me I will be anxious and distressed before they come - worrying how I will be in front of them due to my neuro condition and its too much activity in the home - Im used to being very quite at home due to my agoraphobia etc

can you give any advice on what I should do about this review
Many thanks

Hi peanut

I know there is a backlog with reviews, I did hear that DWP were prioritising new claims.

To try and expedite your claim, contacting your MP may help.

In regards to the LEAP review, I am no expert and would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
