Hi, I’ve recently discovered that I should have been receiving ESA since March 2021 and DWP have basically mucked up my claim! Eventually spoke to fantastic guy at ESA who was very apologetic and is sorting out me getting a huge back payment. The reason this was discovered was I had a capability assessment 3 months ago and hadn’t heard anything so I phoned to find out which group I’ve been put into. Still waiting for that decision. Just wondering if anyone here has been placed in support group or has had a similar problem with claiming?
Yes we have had a number of post where forum members are having issues in the length of time receiving an outcome. It is good to hear that you had a helpful guy at DWP to sort out your claim, it goes to show that they are not all bad who work for DWP. I must admit I have not had a bad one whenever I have phoned DWP, they have always been very helpful.
