PiP awards ending automatic renewal was created by Eileen
I had my award expire March last year and was given two extensionsby letter of six months bringing me to 19th March.
I filled in a review form last year that they have but have not reviewed.
I think there are lots of people in this position.
I phoned this morning and was advised that if your award is within 28 days of expiry and not yet reviewed then they will give an aotomatic 3 months extension. And after three months, same again !
The key thing is that they haven’t even been able to send out letters this time to telll people, they are trying to get texts organised but not yet!
So good news of sorts !

Hi Eileen
Thank you for the up date, it will help fellow members in a similar situation to yourself to put their mind at ease.
We would still recommend that claimants in a similar situation to contact the DWP.

Hi Eileen , Thank you , good to know , It was somewhat reassuring to read your post . I filled out my review form May last year , after they extended my pip end date to April 2022 . I have phoned regarding my review as I had not heard anything only to be told ring closer to the end date . I phoned last week only to be told wait until after the end date and if you have not heard from us give us a call then . It left things very uncertain and up in the air . Hence the reassurance . Very stressful leaving people in such uncertainty .
