Speech to text App was created by Imuyatwa
Good afternoon,
I made an audio recording of my assessment and may have to transcribe it to text.
Has anyone done this before please and what did you use.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Imuyatwa
We have had members on the forum who have used Apps to transcribe but I cannot remember the names of the Apps.
Hopefully fellow members will be able to help you.

speech to text is now built into windows
support.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/use-...9d-e59a-af033fa5689f
alternatively I think you could do a meeting with yourself in Zoom & use the transcribe option.
Dragon Dictate is the market leader.
Google have their own versions of speech to text / transcribe

Hi prefer not to say
Thank you for your feedback, I had no idea about software which can transcribe it to text.
I know the question was asked quite a while ago and a forum member answered the post.
How good the software is only other members can say
.

Hi All ,we bought Dragon maybe 2 years ago, now also using the name Nuance, as my OH cannot type as fast as desired. It works really well and I have found I can use it too [even though I would say we have quite different voices and way of speaking] without doing any training such as we had to maybe 20 years ago when we had the old version.
I can even command it 'microphone off' 'Full stop' 'comma' and 'new paragraph'. Probably other things if I troubled to find out how. But with those I get a text good enough for just a quick tidy up sooo much faster than I myself could fast-2-finger type. It seems to handle a surprisingly wide vocabulary including medical terms on a doc. I did recently for a friend's ESA issue, so ideal for PIP too.
So well satisfied with the value. Only thing I found hard was the whole purchasing a 'product key' and getting it installed on pc originally. Many people might want help just with that if not confident.
We did buy their recommended headset with attached mic, don't know how much better it is than any other set you might already own. But our old one was broken physically so was happy to pay the extra to replace it.
I am certainly in my head dictating daughter's whole next PIP form and if I ever 'woman up' and do my own claim, mine too.
Hope that helps.

Hi denby
Thank you for your reply, never used one myself so cannot say what it is like, I do remember a while ago a forum member talked about different apps.
I have had a look at the cost; Home Dragon £179.99, Dragon profession individual £439.99.
