Another member asked this question a little while ago and I asked Steve about it. This was his answer
At this stage our understanding is that there will be minimal differences between PIP and ADP, all of which we will flag up in our PIP guide. For example, the assessments will be carried out in-house and the criteria relating to terminal illness will change, But the points system for ADP will be identical to PIP, as will be the award rates.
The Scottish government has given an undertaking to start a review of ADP within a year and at that point the points system and awards might begin to diverge.
So, for the present our guides will still be relevant to Scottish claimants.
The other major difference is that Scottish claimants should have access to an advocacy service to help with claims. If that proves effective then it may be that our services will be happily redundant and there will be no point in our covering a diverging ADP, but that is a decision for the future.
So, for the present we will continue to provide PIP/ADP information that is of value throughout the UK.
Hope this helps
