PIP and a deteriation of a health condition was created by OUTLANDER
Hi,
I am currently in receive of standard rate mobility, but have recently had a sudden deteriation of mobility in my right leg due to osteoarthritis. What evidence do I need to send to the DWP as I feel I would be given extra points now due to the change. Also would this trigger a new look at my claim as my current claim ends 2024? Thankyou

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Outlander
When you report a change of circumstances on most occasions you will be sent a review form to fill in.
With regards to evidence if you have any information from a specialist or x-ray then send that in. If you have had an increase in medication to deal with the increased pain - you can send proof of that.
If you don't have any additional medical evidence remind them of what you had previously sent in, emphasise that it is a deteriorating condition and show against the PIP criteria how your mobility is affected.

Hi, Will the review be a full PIP claim form, as if I'm starting from scratch?

Hi, I think I am correct in thinking that you have to have had a problem for 3 months and it has to be likely to persist for a further 9 months for it to be considered for pip. Mods please correct me if I am wrong. Just a thought as you state the deterioration was sudden.
All good wishes

Hi An ex nurse
You are correct, unless you have a terminal illness,in which case you can complete a DS1500.
