Applied for PiP online and now have to fill in PiP 1003/PiP2 paper version? WHY?

Hello there,
I've submitted my online PiP application on 24/02/22. I then received an sms from the DWP advising me that they've sent me a 'How your disability affects you' form, to be 'filled in carefully and returned by the date printed on the front page' (14/04/22).
The form I've been instructed to return appears identical to the form I submitted online.
Call me paranoid, but I'm now paranoid that this is supposed to catch me out somehow or, at the very least, erect another barrier to entry. Why else would I be asked to fill in a 44 page application form a second time?!?
Is this just part of the process? I would really appreciate ANY input as this is my first ever PiP application (for mental health reasons) and I'm doubting my entitlement (even though my social worker, friends and family have been urging me to apply for ages!), so it doesn't take much to have me think: "I'm clearly being doubted already at this stage, so I definitely can't be entitled!"
I'm not sure if this makes any sense, but any input as to how to proceed would be invaluable.
Thank you so much for even reading this far.
Kind regards :)

Hi polymathone

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I have not completed an online PIP application, we have heard from members on the forum who have and they have not had to complete a paper application form as well.

The first thing you need to do is query this with DWP, if you find it hard to phone them, then get someone to do it for you although you will need to be there when they phone due to GDPR.

When you completed the online application did you save a copy for your record? If you did and you need to complete a paper copy, use the online version as your template.

Let us know how you get on.
