I applied for ESA in September, sent Uc50 in November, I'm still waiting for medical, I did attempt a new job recently, left in tears on first day, this led to massive breakdown feeling suicidal, have been referred to crisis team for assessment. I want to work and have tried to 3 times in past year, all led to mental health crisis, this recently been the worst. I contacted DWP and they gave me an email address for my GP to update them on my condition. I don't know what else to do. I voluntary went with Shaw trust and I had my work coach supporting me on the day of my mental breakdown, getting me urgent help for my mental health. That day and subsequent days are a blur. I know I should be in Support group, is there anything else I should do, like send them a new updated Uc50 form. Please advise.

Hi Jane, so sorry to hear you have been through such a tough time.

Perhaps the Shaw Trust you help you with a supporting letter updating your claim.
You can do this too if you feel it could help.

You can also explain what has happened if and when you go for a medical.

Did your GP update them on your condition?
Perhaps accessing your medical records could help your case.
