Hi Aileen
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
You haven't said which benefit you have an assessment for. You can find our guides here benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants. I hope that you have someone who may be able you find the information. There are guides that include information for PIP assessments and ESA/UC assessments and walk through the whole process.

Hi Aileen, Could you find anyone suitable to become your appointee and speak for you?
Also please please contact them immediately or get someone to for you, to ask for the assessment to be recorded.
It's very important to ensure the assessor cannot pretend your speech problems are less that they really are.
best wishes,
Denby
