PIP Success was created by ashaangie
I’ve got CFS, anxiety and a number of other health issues. When I applied back in 2019 I had an extremely stressful experience having both my original application and my mandatory reconsideration rejected, the face to face assessment had so many discrepancies with what was said or happened but nothing came of my complaint. I ended up going to tribunal (over telephone) which was incredibly stressful and drawn out. My PIP was agreed at tribunal who stated that I scored so many points the didn’t bother to further assess the rest of the criteria and that it was all in line with all of the evidence I’d submitted. They awarded enhanced for both daily and mobility.
September 2021 the letter dropped on my mat that I’d have to make a fresh application (as last time it’d gone to tribunal) Needless to say the stress and anxiety over this period has been immense. I submitted the same evidence I’d submitted last time, ensured I’d worded my descriptions as your guides outlined. Had a telephone assessment which went fine, but I didn’t trust what would be put on the report after last time. Last week a letter finally arrived saying I’ve received enhanced for both daily and mobility until March 2028! The points they’ve awarded are very different to the areas the tribunal awarded points but the outcome is the same. I’ve had to reread that letter 10 times I’ve been so stunned I’ve not had another drawn out debilitating battle on my hands. Your guides have been invaluable in a system that feels impossible at times to navigate through. Thank you so much!

Hi Becky,
Firstly, may I congratulate on your resilience and determination in getting your award! I love to read stories like yours.
As for reading the award notice ten times, I was the same as you last October when I eventually received mine.
I can truly say it was the most enjoyable piece of reading I had encoutered since I read 'THE HITCHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY' back in the early 80's, and it got better every time I read it.
Go on, Becky, give it another read. The ending is superb!
Enjoy your award.
All the best.
Regards,
Phrank.
