I did one this morning, if there are no issues then it can be quite quick, unfortunately DWP have access to records that many claimants have forgotten about, like my client his morning, turned out they have cashed in a small pension a few years ago to pay off some debts which they had forgot about, but they had to explain.
We were told there should be no problem, just got to wait for the letter to arrive.
In answer to your question it varies from case to case depending on what DWP find..
