Hi jasong123
As with all things PIP, in order to score points and ultimately be awarded points you will need to show you have a health condition that limits your ability to do the listed activity. It doesn't matter that you don't have a formal diagnosis to be awarded points.
You will need to think what is the consequence of your health problem. Presumably you take imodium because you have constipation, or you have incontinence? These are both health conditions.
Points are awarded under toilet needs which means getting down to or up from the toilet, cleaning yourself and managing evacuation of the bladder/bowels including collection devices such as stoma bags.
Do you need an aid such as grab rail or incontinence pads or commode?
Can you manage to clean yourself properly? You might need an aid or physical help?
Do you need prompting or supervision in respect of toilet needs?
If you have incontinence do you need help to manage this?
If you have answered yes to the above questions then you may be eligible to gain points.
If you manage your toilet needs in a way that makes managing the activity take more than twice that of an able bodied person, or is in some way unsafe, or not to an acceptable standard or perhaps can't be done repeatedly throughout the whole day, then this would also indicate you need help and could score points.
Just because you have to go to the toilet several times during the day, or even the fact that you take a long time on the toilet, or simply having incontinence isn't sufficient. You will need to show a need for an aid or physical help as described above.
If however, your problems with toileting takes up a great deal of time then you may have an argument that this means you are unable to do other activities throughout the day such as cooking etc.
I hope this helps.
