I am my daughter's appointee since she became 16. She is now 19 and has ADD and ASD (high functioning)diagnosis. When she previously claimed PIP I wrote and signed her PIP claim and drafted claim in third person i.e. Because of her condition she has difficulties etc... I have now received her PIP review form and I am not sure whether I can still complete and sign the paperwork on her behalf or if now that she is 19 she has to do that herself?? Many thanks in advance!
Anyone can fill out a PIP form for another person as long as they say they have done it. As her appointee, I would definitely do it. If she suddenly does it, someone will assume that she no longer has any 'difficulties'. I have signed forms where I have helped people, but I always get the claimant to sign as well.
