Moving home and doctors pip was created by Chrystal
Hi there, just wondering if anyone knew if moving house to a new local authority which would then mean changing gp would trigger a pip or esa review . Asking because due to move house which will mean I have to change gp and I’m worried that because we have to report the change of address and new gp that it will trigger a review, and I have only recently been reassessed
Does anyone know if it does trigger a review, and if you can just ring and tell them the changes or if they then send a form to fill in or a new assessment . Sorry if it’s garbled it’s making me quite anxious

Hi Chrystal
A change of address should not trigger a review of your benefits

Hi Chrystal
I would just add to BIS's post, A change of address to a new local authority area should not trigger a review of your benefits unless you have to apply for help with your rent.

Hi Chrystal,
Simply moving to a new area or changing GP should not trigger a PIP review. PIP awards are not linked to a specific geographic area as there is no means tested element such as payments for housing.
I hope this helps.
