PIP renewal form

PIP renewal form was created by Chrissie60
I have received a renewal form for PIP for a family member to be returned by end of June.
Last January 2021 I received a letter saying the claim had been extended until end of June 2023.
Is this normal to receive renewal a year early?

Also, the form itself is just asking if anything changed since award first given. Would I just put no change or still the same for each descriptor or give full description of each problem faced?

I’m a little confused by this wording.

Hi Chrissie60

Yes, it is common for forms to be received up to a year before the award end date as this gives the DWP plenty of time to process them.

I would advise you to read the manual on filling in the review form. Although you don't have to write reams of information, we don't advise that people just say no change and nothing else.

You can find the information from page 129 benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip

Hi newcastle1949

It is a hard question to answer, does your post usually go missing?

Usually when a PIP form is not returned a reminder letter is sent out, I have over time seen a number of these letters. It does seem strange that you have not received either document, you could make an enquiry at your local post office for peace of mind.

I would follow up with a call so that you know when a new form has been sent, if you have not received it within a few days of the new form being sent, then contact DWP.

I do not believe a review form can be completed online, but it may be worth asking if you are having with your post.

Hi thanks so much for replying, no post normally is ok but interesting another member had not received theirs, i followed up again yesterday and was assured another form has been sent out and they have given me a four week extension, are there any tips on how to complete the ar1 form please, also how long is it taking for a decision roughly, i intend to send it back with medical evidence by special delivery but they said until it is received payments will not be put in place, also my carer's money will be stopped, hoping for a paper based assessment due to medical conditions are they rare at the moment?, any help would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes
