Do we know how long ESA renewals are delayed by ?

Back in 2014 many ESA claimants were deferred for 2 years due to the back log, do we know the length this time ? I hate not knowing but I also don't want to contact DWP and end up jogging their memories or something. I am around 3 months overdue for the dreaded brown enevelope renewal forms and they used to always arrive a month prior. As I am in support group clearly I am happy to not rock the boat, but was just curious if there is any indication of deferral time ? Thanks.

Hi Benson

I'm sorry, but I can't alleviate your worry. They are dealing with a backlog and no one knows what it means for individual claimants. Some members have rung the DWP and been told an approximate date and others have rung and been told they have no idea and there is no indication on the system. So no one has any idea of the length of time before people will get reviewed.
