Hello, I noticed this month's payment of UC is higher. I've checked and compared the payment record on my UC account for last month and this month. It looks like they've changed how they payment Housing?
Last month (and all th previous monthss) it states that they can only pay X amount of Housing because the amount cannot exceed local Shared Accommodation Rate. This has meant I get less Housing than my actual rent but I have to pay the difference out of the rest of my UC.
This month it doesn't mention the local Shared Accommodation Rate and seems to have paid me the full amount of my half of the rent!
My initial reaction is "thank god!" but I don't trust the DWP. What have they changed, will they suddenly ask for it back? Do I need to worry!? Thanks

Age can be a factor; check your local LHA criteria (should be on your council website) *Local Housing Allowance.
