PIP Review form "Anything else you think we should know" section was created by Cemily
On page 13 where it asks ‘is there anything else you think we should know about your health condition”
They didn’t have that space on the PIP 2 form so am unsure what to include.
In ESA50 & PIP 2 that blank space is the equivalent of extra sheets, & you’re told ‘if you need more space use the box on page X’. But here its asking for anything else you want to tell them.
So, do I use it as if it were an extra sheet – ie when I run out of space describing difficulties on first few activities fill up that box before going onto extra sheets?
Or should it be used more like the ‘about your illness/disabilities’ section at the beginning of the ESA50 form – where you tell them all about how your condition has affected about your life, eg cant do hobbies once loved, no longer safe to drive, lost friends due to being so unreliable etc etc?

Hi Cemily,
It is blank space for your own use. It could be overflow from previous pages, as you have suggested, it can be used for more background info about your illness etc or of course you could leave it blank if you have nothing further to say.
I often use this sort of space as an overview. You could explain eg when did you become disabled/ill, maybe you had some treatment, when/what, or the illness got worse? Indeed, tell DWP about how 'disabled life' affects your friendships, mood, appetite, driving etc this can all help to paint a picture of how your disability affects you and what's changed. It also gives a chance to expand on facets of your disability that couldn't be explained in the small spaces provided on the rest of the form. You could explain further about side effects of treatment.
Also you might wish to explain possible future treatment.
You need to be careful here! If you explain that eg your badly fractured leg needs further surgery, that could suggest you will no longer be disabled! However, if you explain that your badly fractured leg has now become infected and it is increasingly likely that it needs to be amputated then this will of course mean that you are about to become more disabled. Take care in this respect.
I hope this helps.
