PIP Award Extension rapidly approaching end date

Hi Back last year about this time I received a PIp award extension to August 2022, the 12th I think. Anyhow I then received my review paperwork which I sent back for 27th October. They must have received it since they have continued to pay my PIP. However the date they extended it to is rapidly approaching and I have heard nothing from my sending in the forms.

I think I read somewhere that even if your extended date passes until they have made a decision they will continue to pay you. Is this correct or have I been misinformed, or read it wrong?

Also if it is correct, does the fact that there was an end date given of August, will it affect anything that may be associated with my PIP claim such as HB or Council Tax Relief? I am also on ESA so am hopeful that the ESA covers the HB and the CTax Relief?

Can anyone set my mind at ease please?

Hi TwistedWitch

We have heard numerous horror stories on the forum concerning end dates, I would contact DWP to see what is happening and try and put your mind at ease.

If you PIP stopped at end of August then it could have a knock on effect with other benefits depending on your circumstances, for instance if you receive any means tested benefit such as HB, IR ESA then any disability premiums such as EDP or SDP will stop.
