Confused about Cost of Living payment was created by Cinta
Hi, I am on ESA, PIP & severe disability payment. I heard that people who get PIP do not get the 2nd payment of £325 (the first being paid this July). Could someone please clarify this for me please? There seems there are conflicting reports about this. Obviously it would make a lot of difference to people. Many thanks in advance!

I'm confused too. Hubby is 73 gets state pension, AA, some HB and some CTS. I am working on the basis that as he has just had £90 off the local council which they class as 'due to being on means tested benefit, ie the CTS, that he will get this £650 CLC also? I am 66 in early September, get PIP and Contribution based ESA, then I will qualify for ZILCH. THe whole thing is clear as mud. I hope you make some sense of it.

From the documents that Gary pointed you to.
From your post, neither you or your husband appear to be in receipt of any of the above benefits so I would not expect you to receive the £650.

You may get a payment of £650 paid in 2 lump sums of £326 and £324 if you get payments of any of the following:
Universal Credit
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Income Support
Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit
Working Tax Credit

@Cinta
As long as you receive one of the qualifying means tested benefits you will still receive the Cost of Living £650 payment, even though you receive PIP.
In your case you must receive Income Related Esa as you are getting the SDP. So as long as you received this during the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022, you will receive the first half in July 2022.
The qualifying dates have not yet been set for the second half but PIP will have no effect on it.
