I am receiving PIP from 2017 and PC from 2020 . I have been living with close relative paying rent jointly from 2010. Now received form PC 10 to fill. The question is from what date you started paying rent jointly and next question is this the date you first started living . If I and my close relative had agreed in 2010 and got a shared accommodation in 2010 and moved in together sharing rent from 2010 but my name was included in joint and several tenancy formal agreement on renewal 2011 and has continued to date . Actually in 2010 close relative was dealing with estate agent his name was included but mine omitted I was yet away landlord included my name at renewal 2011 our rent sharing has been the same all along . So my answer is date started rent together 2010 because I did .Then was this the date you first started living there YES. Because I did.
Can you please guide what is difference if the last answer was to be No. Then there is no further question in the form as to when and rent agreement is not required to explain and no space for any further information .And what difference it makes it was 12 years ago I am confused . Can someone please help

Hi zaib
Your question is outside the remit of the forum, you need to contact Shelter who will be able to give you a legal answer to your question, you can contact Shelter on 0808 800 4444

Hi zaio
I have had a quick look around their website and could not find a helpline number, so it may have changed, they do have an energency line helpline: 0808 800 4444 or a webchat england.shelter.org.uk/get_help.

Hi Gary, Thank you . I keep trying to contact Shelter on other numbers but I am afraid they seem to be too busy. They clalim they can help people on benefits being accepted by some private Landlords , it is so difficult.

See if you have a local office near you. If not I would approach ‘Housing Advice’ at your local council.
