Cost of Living Payment was created by Natasha
Hi, does anyone know if the ‘cost of living payment’ is per household or per person with eligibility? For example: I am in receipt of housing benefit and IR ESA but have not yet received the cost of living payment. However my daughter who is in receipt of UC received her payment last week. My daughter is disabled and lives with me. I was wondering if only she has received the payment as we live in the same house or whether we should both receive the payment? Many thanks Natasha.

Hi Natasha
Cost of living payments are staggered, Between 14 and 31 July 2022 for most people; www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment
Can only one payment be made per household?
Couples will get one payment of £326 between them.
What about non-dependants?
Non-dependants who are eligible should receive a payment too.
So more than one payment can be made to a household where more than one benefit unit live in the same property.
