DISALLOWED was created by BexMorse
Hi, I recieved a phone call from PIP on Tuesday telling me that my review has been disallowed and they were to take everything off me.
I was obviously in complete shock and panic and began crying uncontrollably!
He told me I was being disallowed because I work. I have been claiming PIP for 8+ years and working in the same job for 10 years, I also work 10 hours or less.
I questioned him as to why they were doing this and it wasnt right etc and he said he can put me back on to standard daily living - I had been receiving enchanced daily living.
I asked him to begin the appeal process and got off the phone, it was incredibly traumatic having this happen (again).
Can someone please make sense of what has happened to me? I really don't understand what has happened, what it means, what and how I can do something about it.
This disallowment is from a phone review thing I recieved months ago, which I recorded. I have multiple physical and mental disabilities of which I have proof and have explained to them in detail.
Much appreciative of any help or guidance
Many thanks
Bex

Hi Bex
I am sorry this has happened to you.
You need to contact the DWP and ask for a copy of the assessor's report (PA4). This will give you more details about how the decision was made and make it easier for you to challenge the report. You have told them you want to start the 'appeal process' - this is a Mandatory Reconsideration, and you have to put it in within one month of the date on the decision letter (which you may not have had).
You are not the only claimant who works and gets PIP - so that in itself is not an argument. The DWP should also have explained why they think your condition has 'improved'. (I suspect the person on the phone already knew this, which is why he suggested he would give you standard).
Do have a look at our guide to PIP Appeals (which includes the Mandatory Reconsideration information).
