I have been given an appointment for a face to face assessment at my nearest centr which is 28 miles away, I suffer with severe anxiety and depression and I am already panicking, I can't sleep or eat and feel sick worrying about it. I don't go out of the house unless it is absolutely necessary for gp appointments etc. Am I forced to have a face to face appointment or can I request a telephone appointment? TIA.
You can contact them now and appeal the decision for a face-to-face assessment and ask them to change it to a telephone assessment. A couple of our members recently successfully changed theirs - they just rang up and asked and explained their reasons.
