"The Decision Maker" was created by VS
Hello,
I'm currently waiting for my PA4 to arrive following my assessment. I'm then going to follow advice given to previous posters, to see if there are any areas I think need contesting, and write to the Decision Maker with my reasons.
I have a very simple question:
Which address do I post it to? Does it need addressing to one of the Wolverhampton mail handling sites (I see there is a Site A and Site B - I'm not sure which is right), or is there a local centre where my case manager is based that it needs posting to instead? (If so, can I find out which it is without ringing PIP?)
And do I literally write inside on the letter itself "to the Decision Maker for case... NI number", and then whoever opens it forwards it on to the relevant case manager?
I need very clear, literal, autism friendly instructions please, or I'm lost!
Thanks

Hi VS
Send your letter by recorded delivery to the address used by the DWP when they wrote to you, address the letter ' To the Decision Maker'
On your letter write your name and NI number and as your stated in your post address the letter to the Decion Maker.
Understand that the assessor is offering an opinion when they say that you can do the PIP activities, tackling these head-on is unlikely to be successful, you need to show that the basis of that opinion is founded on incorrect information, so try and refer to your evidence to undermine what they have said.
Also, try and stick to issues that lead to your scoring points, I often hear members referring to the assessors spelling, as an example, whilst it may show a lack of professionalism, raising it as an issue isn't going to help you get an award.
Lastly, make sure that you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against you can put the best case forward that is possible but you won't score points if you do not meet the PIP Descriptors.
Make sure that your letter makes it clear that you are not requesting a Mandatory Reconsideration but you reserve the right to do so once a Decision has been made.
