Question about about automatic extension of PIP awards was created by randal_bond
In your newsletter I read:
The DWP is to increase the length of automatic extensions of PIP awards awaiting a review from their current three months to ‘up to twelve months’ from 6 September.
I received "It's time to Review your PIP" form, even though my PIP is due to renewal already. Does the above quote mean that I will be getting automatic PIP extension if I indicate that my circumstances haven't changed? Or does it mean something else? Sorry, I'm foggy. I think I asked this question before but not sure if you answered it.

RB
It means that your existing award will be extended by up to a year if a Decision on your review has not been made by the time your current award reaches it's End Date, given the current delays, this could happen more than once.

Hi randal_bond,
1] please be wary if your real name is identifiable from your forum name, you can go into 'my account' and change it if so.
2] if your brain fog means you are not sure about filling in a review form, you DO need to fill it in [use the guides here for how to do it].
The extensions are for while THEY process the form once YOU have returned it.
And on 'how to do it', writing 'no change' gives less chance of a fair new award than treating it like a whole new claim.
best wishes,
Denby
