LWC/LECRA waiting time. was created by SusieRose
I have now been waiting for over 26 weeks for an assessment for this DWP Benefit. I have been informed by the kind lady at the UC office it is currently running for over 9 months with no updates.
Is anyone else waiting for their UC50 to be looked at? I know you have to wait for 15 weeks before they even touch the paperwork. Yet I sent my PIP at the same time (change in circumstances, and the decision arrived within 8 wks. I need 2 new hips both causing me to be let go from my last new job. Currently fit notes are being issued for 3 months ata time.
So does anyone have any idea when these things are sorted or do you just hang in limbo until the DWP get down the hugh current backlog?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi SusieRose
I'm sorry, but in the current circumstances, we have no idea how long you will have to wait. I'm afraid you just have to wait for the DWP to come back to you. (And you were lucky on the short time for the change of circumstances decision - one member of B&W recently had their change of circumstances decision after 18 months). I hope you will hear soon.

Hi SusieRose
Money should be backdated when a decision is made.
