My son is living with Crohn's disease and high blood pressure. He's single, 35, still living at home and doesn't know how much longer he can continue to work (he drives a HGV) due to his condition. He applied for PIP and was refused. Does anyone know if he is likely to get ESA or any other benefit?

ESA, PIP, etc. are not paid because the claimant has a particular condition or limitation but rather how that affects their ability to complete a set of activities relevant to a benefit.
Have a look at our ESA/UC Claim guide on the link at the top of the pages for the ESA criteria he will need to meet.
