Supporting evidence was created by randal_bond
We are still waiting for it and it may come later. Can you confirm that we can post it at a later date? What do we need to do to make sure the evidence will not be misplaced and added to the documents?

Hi randal_bond,
I'm not sure whether you need to send in supporting evidence for a Mandatory Reconsideration Request or for an appeal at tribunal.
There is probably less time to send in evidence for MR and you should try to do this ASAP. By all means ring DWP and ask for an extension. However DWP won't wait forever.
By contrast, once you have entered an appeal there is normally around 2 weeks where you can send in extra evidence, and it will automatically be placed on the bundle of papers that DWP produce for you and the tribunal. (It will include copies of claim form, assessment, decision notices and your MR and any supporting evidence. )
But don't worry, if you don't get your evidence in then, send it as soon as you can afterward. Realistically you can send things anytime up to around 2 or 3 weeks before the hearing date. (Unfortunately it may take a while before your case gets listed and given a hearing date.) Your appeal confirmation may say you have to send something within 2 weeks but that is only to get it into the bundle from the start, and allow DWP to review it at the start of the appeal- which can lead to a change of decision. Don’t worry if you exceed this as per above send in the evidence ASAP.
If you need to send in for MR include full name and NI number. Write a covering letter asking to include this as part of the MR.
For an appeal you will have an appeal reference number this might start SC or it might just be a very long number. Include with NI number and full name.
Often if you have completed the online appeal form, you will get given a link or email address to send in additional evidence. Scan in and send electronically, or use the postal address which should be included.
Always keep copies of what you send including any covering letter. Never send the original always send a copy.
With either MR or appeal evidence call DWP or tribunal as appropriate after say 10 days to ensure the extra papers have arrived. Keep calling every few days if there is no trace of receipt. Resend if still not there after a further week.
When the tribunal have received the extra evidence they will forward this to DWP so you don't need to do this. The tribunal office will then copy this and add page numbers and then send the paginated copies to all parties including you to add the pages to the end of your bundle.
I hope this helps.

It's not a mandatory reconsideration. I'm sending paperwork for PIP review.

Hi randal_bond
The advice is the same if you send later information for your review. Name and national insurance number on each piece of paper. Send it by tracked post and then once you know it has been delivered, keep ringing up to find out if it has been scanned into the system. They will be able to see this if you ask.

Hi randal-bond,
I have sent lots of things through after firstly initiating an appeal or MR.
The DWP must have got sick of my never-ending letters, extra bits of evidence and the regular follow-up phone calls throughout my continuous fights, arguments, skirmishes and disagreements with them over the years.
Did it do me any good? Well I think anything you can send in to further enhance your case has to be a good thing.
On the other hand my self-induced stress levels have gone through the roof at times where I have been particularly forceful and persistent.
It's the TESCO touch: Every little helps.
Regards,
Phrank.

Hi randal-bond,
I can agree, along with fellow members that we have enjoyed phrank's skirmishes with the DWP over the years, phrank has even helped one of their neighbours who recently had a successful out come.
